2350m

Warm-up
500s/400p/450k

Set
8x100 pull/IM alt

Cool Down
200s

Total: 2350m 1hr.

Linea and I headed to the pool right after school. I opted out of biking because my schedule is tight on Tuesdays. It's been about 2 weeks since I've been in the water since the pool was closed last week. It was nice to stretch out after all the biking! Although I didn't notice any improvement in my kicking! Hmmm? Aren't my legs getting stronger?

I've got really strong legs but my kick suck! That's because my ankles are very inflexible. On the contrary, when we do pull sets, I blow away everyone (except for Vlad, the ex-Olympian).

any advice for improving my kick?? what does your coach say? my ankles are fine. and like you, my pull rocks!!! I just can't make my body kick, unless it's breast....and then I can kick for ages!

It's a mystery to me. The best kickers are not necessarily the people with the strongest legs. The best kickers seem to have either flexible ankles or fat hips (for floatation). I have neither.

I have flexible ankles, and my kick sets SUCK--especially with fins. I do have the fat hips, tho, so sometimes that helps (not enough--I get left in the dust on kick sets). But I hear you, Sista, I am all about the BR kick!
